Two held for raping girl in Govindpuri

New Delhi: A young woman has told Delhi Police that she was raped by three men in south east Delhi's Govindpuri area, almost five months ago, when she was a minor.
Delhi Police on Monday said they have arrested two accused in this case, after a zero FIR was received from Jaipur at Govindpuri police station on March 31 through official channels. The victim alleged that she was brought to Delhi from West Bengal to get a job, by one Ashiqul Sheikh five months back. Sheikh confined her at his residence in south east Delhi, where he and his associates Raju Sheikh and an unknown friend raped her.
"A case under sections 376D, 323 and 342 of the IPC and section 6 of the POCSO Act was registered at police station Govindpuri, as the victim was a minor at the time of incident," said DCP (South East) Chinmoy Biswal.
He added that Ashikhul Sheikh (24) and Raju Sheikh (30) were arrested from Delhi's Khanpur on April 2.
