Two held for posing as fake candidates at SSC exam

New Delhi: Two fake candidates who turned up at a SSC examination centre in Dwarka were arrested after their face did not match with the photographs in the examination form, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the accused were identified as Rakesh Bansilal, a resident of East Patel Nagar, and Arun, a resident of New Palam Vihar, and the two are being questioned by investigators.
The incident came to light on March 7 at an online exam centre situated near Nawada Metro station pillar.
The two men secured entry into the hall and started giving the examination, when the invigilator found something suspicious about their behavior and informed the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) observer.
"The invigilators were asked to check the candidates after the examination was over, during which their photos were found to mismatch with the those in the examination form," said a senior police official.
A PCR call was then made and a police team reached the spot and nabbed the two accused.
During questioning, they revealed that they had come to give the exam in place of one Ravi and one Ashwani.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Sibhesh Singh said further investigation is underway in the case.
