Two held for posing as buyers on OLX, stealing Honda City

NEW DELHI: Two persons, including a woman were arrested on Tuesday for duping a man of his Honda City car by posing as buyers on OLX, an online buying and selling portal.
The arrested accused had devised a meticulous plan to rob the man's Honda City, a trap that they have successfully used to fool others and walk away with their valuables.
Complainant Manas Arora, resident of Subhash Nagar in Delhi reported in Police post that he has been duped by a mother-son,who claimed to be buyers for his Honda City car through OLX.
They visited the house of the complainant and took the Honda City car after handing over a fake demand draft.
The police team gathered the local intelligence about the cheats and an information was received that the cheats wanted to sell a laptop. The team laid a trap and contacted the alleged cheats by pretending themselves as possible buyers for the laptop, which the cheats intended to sell.
"On August 22, a dummy customer was sent to purchase the laptop and cheat namely Lata (name changed) has been arrested. On the instance of this lady her counterpart Ranjit @ Ashwani @ Kamal was arrested and Honda City car was recovered," said DCP West Vijay Kumar.
