Two detained for disposing off foetus

New Delhi: Panic prevailed in north east Delhi's Usmanpur area on Saturday after two men were caught hold of by the public when they allegedly came to the area to dispose off a five-month-old foetus.

Delhi Police personnel on Sunday stated that they got a call from local residents stating that two men with a black bag had come to the Signature Bridge to dispose off a baby, immediately after which a police team reached the spot and checked the bag.

On inspecting the bag, cops found that it contained a dead foetus

Police said that the duo claimed that an unidentified man handed over the bag to them and had given them money to dispose it off.

The two men reportedly told cops that they had no clue what the bag contained.

The detained men further told cops that the man who gave them the bag immediately fled away.

Cops further said that they have registered a case and have detained the two men.
