Two Class IX students drown while filming video

Gurugram: In a tragic turn of events, two Class IX students named Adarsh and Aakash died after getting drowned in Kadipur pond on Sunday. Both were residents of Sector-10
The incident of them getting drowned was recorded by their friends who did not know that what was a moment of joy for them will soon take a deadly turn.
According to the police, the two had lied to their parents and told them that they would be going to the Leisure Valley Park as part of the school picnic. After being given permission, the two along with their friends went to Kadipur pond to have a good time. The deceased did not know how to swim and were trying being at the shallow end of the pond. However, in an excitement, the two drifted to the deeper end and subsequently drowned. Before their friends could call people to rescue them they had already died.
Post-mortem of the bodies has been conducted and they have been handed over to the aggrieved parents.
Police are also in touch with the other two friends. "Immediately after the incident was reported, the SHO of Sector-10 went to the spot. The parents of the deceased have identified their children," said Inspector Ravinder Kumar, spokesperson, Gurugram Police.
