Two arrested, govt pistol recovered

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed that they have arrested two persons from South West Delhi and recovered one government pistol. The police identified the accused as Pawan (28) and Rajesh Rao (35). They were nabbed by the AATS team of South West Delhi on the basis of information that two armed accused will be coming from NH-8 Mahipal Pur to Arjun Camp Jhuggi, Vasant Kunj, to sell the stolen mobile.

On this information, a team comprising of sub-inspector Mahesh, SI Mukesh, ASI Arvind, ASI Inderjeet made the arrest. The accused were chased and nabbed. Police claimed that Pawan runs his gang on his name alongwith his associates. "Accused disclosed that he and his associates stole a pistol and wallet from a car which was parked at Rajokari flyover, NH-8 in the intervening night of 15/16 December," said DCP, South West, Devender Arya. On further interrogation, it was revealed that the govt pistol was issued to Constable Ravi Kumar.
