Trying to resist sister's eve teasers gets brother killed

A man died on Tuesday after sustaining bullet injuries following an argument between two groups of people which turned ugly in southeast Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar, police said.
An argument started between the two groups of people and the members of one group assaulted the other, they said.
A man Shanta Kumar sustained injuries on his head while Vicky from the group was shot two bullets and succumbed to the injuries during treatment, the police said. Vicky was maternal uncle of Shanta Kumar.
According to police, the quarrel started after a relative of Shanta was allegedly molested by the members of the other group and lewd comments were passed on her.
When Vicky and Shanta confronted the accused, an argument broke out between the two groups.
However, with an intention to take revenge the other group attacked the victim's family. The accused then turned into large numbers and attacked Vicky's family with sharp edged weapons and even fired gun shots, out of which two of the fired bullets hit Vicky.
Later, the police was informed but by the time they reached the spot, the assailants had fled.
The statements of the victims were taken and soon the manhunt for the accused was launched by police.
Police succeeded in arresting one accused within 24 hours of the incident while one accused Ajay is still absconding.
"One person named Mantosh has been arrested in connection with the case. We have formed several teams to arrest the other accused in the murder case." said DCP southeast Romil Baaniya.
