Traffic Police rope in 'Yamraj' for helmetless riders

New Delhi: One thing that people are scared of is death, realising this psychology the Delhi Traffic Police in Rohini has roped in 'Yamraj' to educate commuters travelling without helmets about traffic rules and the disastrous effects of road accident. The innovative measure was taken at Traffic Police local level and people found flouting rules were seen stopped by traffic policemen along with a Yamraj in black clothes along with a mace in hand. "Our purpose is to educate people of the hazards of not following the traffic rules. How easily a man can end his life if he meets an accident without having a proper helmet, we are also distributing free helmets after the 100 Rs challan," said a Traffic policeman.
