Traffic curtailed on Rajpath

New Delhi: There would be elaborate traffic arrangements by Delhi Traffic Police and restrictions in place for smooth conduct of the Republic Day parade that will start at 9 :50 am from Vijay Chowk and will proceed to Red Fort.

The route of the parade would be from Vijay Chowk, Rajpath, India Gate, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg to Red Fort.

In order to facilitate smooth passage of the parade, movement of traffic on certain roads will be restricted such as no traffic would be allowed on Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 3 pm on Thursday till parade is over. Similarly, no cross traffic on Rajpath from 11 pm on Thursday at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road till parade is over on Friday.

'C'-Hexagon-India Gate will be closed for traffic from 2 am on January 26 till parade crosses Tilak Marg. From 10.00 am on 26 January, traffic on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg and Subhash Marg will only be allowed on both directions.
