Toy vendor moonlighting as burglar held

NEW DELHI: Vendor in the day and burglar at night. Delhi police has arrested a notorious thief namely Salim, 25, resident of Tughlakabad Extesion, and recovered six stolen vehicle batteries from the possession. 29 cases of battery/water meter theft and petty theft have been solved with his arrest.

Interestingly, the man worked as a toy vendor in the day and did a recce of the places he intended to rob.

Police team noticed a person carrying a plastic bag having some heavy articles inside it. On seeing the police party, the suspect tried to run away. However, the alert and vigil staff nabbed the suspect, who was identified as Salim. On search of his bag, one black colour vehicle battery was found inside it.
