Sustained pressure from the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has resulted in imposition of stringent sections against police officials who were involved in a case of assisting brothel owners in carrying out sex-trade.
The cops will also be charged under section 373 (buying minors for the purpose of prostitution) of the Indian Penal Code.
On July 21, the Commission had rescued two girls from brothel number 56 at GB road, with the help of an NGO.
In their statement, the rescued girls had informed that some police officers were working in collusion with the brothel owners.
