To get back at estranged wife, man kills minor brother-in-law

NEW DELHI: Trouble in married life and urge to teach his in laws a lesson, a man in Bhajanpura in North East kidnapped his 11-year-old brother-in-law and later murdered him with a cloth Patti on August 13. The man has been arrested.
The father of the boy informed cops on August 13 that his son went in "Matki Phodd" programme and could not be traced.
The father suspected his son-in-law behind the disappearance of his child. Soon, a team of police officers started looking for 27-year-old Lalit.
Lalit was picked up by cops on the same day and said that he duped the victim on pretext of buying kites for him, kidnapped him and left the victim in Jungles of Alipur.
Two teams were constituted to search the Jungle area, and went to the scene of crime in the night, along with the accused person.
Even after a search operation for four hours, the body of the 11-year-old victim could not be traced, as the accused tried to misguide the police personnel.
"Later, on sustained interrogation, alleged Lalit broke down and stated that he has murdered the kidnapped boy and on his instance the body of the boy was recovered from the bushes of the service road, B-2/4 Narela Industrial area," said DCP North East.
During investigation, it has been revealed that there was a dispute between Lalit and his wife. His father-in-law was not happy with their love marriage. His wife left him and was living with her parents and the matter is already pending in Mediation Court.
