'Tihar Idols' talent show a hit
NEW DELHI: Tihar jail authorities on Saturday organised a talent show for its inmates.
According to a Tihar official, the officials launched the programme 'Tihar Idols', a first time event in the history of the facility. The event was a reality show, organised inside the premises of Tihar jail, aimed at successfully changing the lives of more than 300 inmates who are spending their life with peace and prosperity.
The 'Tihar Idols' event was aimed at giving them a shot at a career in the field of music and dance.
Officials further stated that it was a unique concept which, they believe, will definitely change the nature and thinking of the inmates of Tihar.
Initially, more than 500 inmates of Delhi prisons had given their audition, and from among these 100 were selected for the next stage. These 100 were further groomed by experts, after which 40 reached the next round. In the final round, 16 inmates were selected.
