Three snatchers arrested after brief chase
New Delhi: Three persons who turned snatchers to full fill their drug addiction were arrested after brief chase from RTR flyover in south-west Delhi. Police said that the accused were involved in nine criminal cases.
Police identified the accused as Sunil (20), Brijesh Kumar (19) and Sumit Pal (19). Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-west) Devender Arya said that the arrest was made by the special staff team after they received information that accused persons will visit near Amar Shahid Prem Singh Marg in RK Puram.
"Three persons were spotted riding on a motorcycle at RTR flyover and were asked to stop. But instead of stopping, they tried to sped away from the spot. Immediately the alert team swung into action and successfully apprehended all the accused," DCP south west said.
All of them are native of Delhi by birth and school dropout.
Police further added that all of them are drug addicts, due to their addiction they fell short of money and started committing the crime to fulfil their addiction needs.
