Three of family attempt immolation, rescued
New Delhi: Three persons, including two women, of the same family tried to immolate themselves at the office of north Delhi's Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) on Tuesday.
The personnel and other people present in the office spotted them and snatched the matchbox from their hands before they could set themselves on fire.
The family was accusing police of inaction in a property dispute case. DCP (North) Jatin Narwal immediately reached the spot and ordered an inquiry into the family's grievances. The family told police that they took the decision as they were getting no help from the staff at Sarai Rohilla police station.
