Three killed in two road mishaps

NEW DELHI: Three persons died in separate road accidents in Delhi on Sunday.
In the first case, two men died after falling from a flyover in Shahdara district, while a youth died in Central Delhi after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
According to police, the deceased in the first incident were identified as Mantu Kumar and Shamshad.
A PCR call was received at around 4.30 pm on Sunday at Geeta Colony police station regarding the accident.
A police team reached the spot and the victims were rushed to the hospital, where both of them were declared brought dead.
During investigation, a police team found that both the men were sitting on top of cartons containing clothes, which were kept on thela (hand cart).
When the cart – being pushed on the edge of flyover – lost balance, the victims fell from the flyover and died on impact.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad stated that they are considering legal action in the case.
The second case was reported from Bharat Nagar, wherein a person, identified as Raj, died after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
The victim was crossing the road when the over-speeding vehicle hit.
Passersby informed police and the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
