Noida: In a further development in the day-light robbery incident in which a security guard was shot dead in Sector 44, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police have arrested three criminals, including the woman who used to work part time in the house.
The accused have been identified as Aarti alias Manisha (22), her lover Sandeep Kumar (25) and his associate Sonu Chaudhary (24).
Police said that the fourth accomplice Vikas alias Vicky is at large and they have launched a search to nab him.
Police have recovered a country-made gun, two live cartridges, and some stolen goods.
"Based on interrogations done with one of the arrested criminals, police conducted a search and arrested Aarti and Sandeep from their hideout in Salarpur village. However, Vikas is absconding after the incident and we are conducting searches at various locations to nab him," said Love Kumar, senior superintendent of police, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Discussing the details of incident, Kumar said, "The whole plan of robbery was prepared by Aarti. Her elder sisters worked as domestic helps at the bungalow and she used to go to the house sometimes to do household works in absence of her sisters. As she was known to the family and had an access to their house, she hatched the conspiracy with her lover and his accomplice".
