Three held for killing two in robbery bid
Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Police have arrested three criminals for allegedly killing two persons amid a robbery attempt in Tronica city area. Cops said that the arrested persons are members of dreaded Bawariya gang.
On August 5, two persons were killed while another sustained bullet injuries when nearly half a dozen robbers barged into their house to commit robbery. The incident occurred around 3 am in Pooja colony area when a grocery shop owner, Dharamveer was sleeping outside his house. Two persons came to him and asked for drinking water.
Soon after he went inside his house to get water, nearly half a dozen men barged into his house and committed robbery by keeping the family hostage for nearly an hour. However, when the family members tried to resist the robbery attempt, the criminals opened fire on them in which Dharamveer was killed after three bullets hit him. Two neighbours of Dharamveer had come for help but they were also shot by the accused in which Babu was killed and his brother was injured.
Police officials said that the arrested accused have been identified as Jogender (46), his son Bhupender (20), both from Masuri area of Ghaziabad and Ankush (28), a native of Hapur.
