Three held for harassing foreign tourist at rly station

NEW DELHI: Three persons were arrested for trying to entice a foreign national in New Delhi railway station.
The accused were identified as Mohammad Mohsin (20), Mohammad Nosad (21) and Mohammad Noshad (20).
According to police, during patrolling duty at Ajmeri Gate side of the railway station on Thursday, Assistant Sub Inspector Anuj Tomar and Head Constable Satish Rathi noticed the three men persuading and trying to pressurise a foreigner to take their services in the garb of providing cheap hotel and taxi.
The foreigner was avoiding it and wanted to get rid of them but they kept on pestering him.
Immediately, the two policemen apprehended all the three men.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) Pankaj Singh told reporters on Friday that the accused used to target foreign nationals and lure them with promises of cheap and best hotels/taxies. After winning their confidence, the accused would misguide unsuspecting tourists and charge them exorbitant sums of money for the services offered.
"A case under section U/S-4(A) of the Delhi Prevention of Touting and Malpractices against Tourist Act, 2010, was registered at New Delhi railway station police station. All the accused have been arrested," said the DCP.
