This gang used to sell luxury car in few thousand rupees

New Delhi: With the hard earned money, people buy cars which cost lakhs of rupees. But if the vehicle is stolen suddenly its cost is reduced to few thousand rupees. South Delhi Police busted a gang who used to target costly vehicles which were dismantled and sold for few thousand rupees.
According to police, the accused were identified as Riyazu, Love Raghav and one juvenile. The arrest was made by the team of Hauz Khas police station near Green Park Metro Station after a chase on the intervening night of January 11-12.
"ASI Islamuddin and Ct Ramjan Ali PS Hauz Khas were on patrolling duty in the area when they noticed one suspicious Honda City car moving towards Gautam Nagar. They tried to stop the car for a routine check up but the driver sped up and ran away towards Balbir Saxena Marg," said a police official.
The Police staff chased the car and succeeded to stop the car near Green Park Metro Station. There were four persons inside the car and out of the two persons along with the car were overpowered by the police team while two managed to escape. The apprehended persons were identified as Love Raghav and one juvenile from their instance the third accused Riyazu was arrested.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Romil Baaniya stated that accused persons targeted only Luxury Honda City cars. They used to break the lock with the help of master keys available with them and after stealing the car they used to park it in different isolated places. Gradually they dismantle those cars and sell in parts to the scrap dealer and used to spend the money on their lavish lifestyle. "The cost of the parts were few thousand rupees," said the DCP.
