This 23-yr-old burglar sought refuge in girlfriends' homes after every robbery
New Delhi: A 23-year-old man involved in several robbery cases was arrested from East Delhi.
Police said he has several girlfriends and used their houses as a shelter after committing the crime in the area. Police identified the accused as Ayush Kumar Goyal.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Jasmeet Singh said the accused is resident of Lucknow but his family members are living in Agra UP. He used to run away after committing the crime to Agra.
"The accused was interrogated at length and then at his instance, several stolen mobiles and other items too were recovered from his girl friend's house," said DCP Singh adding that girlfriend of the accused has also been arrested in the case for keeping the stolen property.
A 27-year-old sharpshooter involved in firing on a businessman in the area of Hari Nagar was arrested.
Police said that the person who had hired accused suspected that his wife was having an illicit relationship with the businessman.
Police identified the accused as Kulveer Dagar from Najafgarh. On July 23 the businessman was present at his residence when someone fired a shot at him from outside.
The bullet hit the window and ricocheted off the wall. The businessman managed to escape unhurt.
