Tempo driver attacks cop with sword

New Delhi: A Delhi Police personnel was attacked with a sword by a tempo driver in North West Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar area,

According to Delhi Police, an accident was caused by a Gramin Sewa tempo to a police vehicle. Thereafter, a police officer was also assaulted on the head by the tempo driver with a sword. Further, the tempo was driven dangerously and caused injuries to a policeman in the leg.

"Matter being personally enquired into by Addl DCP & prompt follow up action will be taken," said police in their statement. In a CCTV video of the alleged incident, it can be seen that a man holding a sword in his hand was talking to policeman. Later the police personnel went back to the police station. Later several policemen came to the spot. A person in plain clothes held a man wearing a turban (holding sword) from the back. The turban man attacked the man in plain clothes. Once the sword is taken from his hand he was beaten by policemen.
