Teen girl found murdered, family alleges live-in partner's role

Ghaziabad: A 19-year-old girl was allegedly found murdered inside a house in Khora area of Ghaziabad on Sunday morning. Victim's family members alleged that her live-in partner strangled her to death.

According to police, the deceased, a native of Bulandshahr district, worked at a private company in Noida's sector 85. She had been involved into a live-in relationship with a man of the same company from past eight months and lived in Deepak Vihar area of Khora.

Police officials said that on Sunday morning, when the owner of house found the door locked from inside and no one responded even after several attempts, he opened the door and found the girl lying dead on the floor with a dupatta round her neck.

"The house owner informed police following which a team was sent to the spot. The victim was taken to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The body was sent for the postmortem while further investigations into the case are underway," said Pradeep Tripathi, Station House Officer, Khora Police Station.

The officer further said that the girl was involved into a live-in relationship with a man who works with her in the same company.

"Preliminary investigations into the case showed that the victim lived with a man at the rented house from past eight months. Her family was not aware of the relationship, however, they have given a complaint against the man and accused him to have murdered the girl. The accused is absconding after the incident while efforts are being made to nab him. A case under IPC sections of murder has been registered against him," added Tripathi.
