Sun City residents allege corruption by HUDA

Facing acute water shortage for months, resident of Sun City in Gurugram have levelled corruption allegations against the HUDA engineers for diverting a water pipeline to a private school in the society that is being used in a swimming pool.

The residents allege that the HUDA engineers have deliberately reduced the length of the pipeline.

The officials have illegally connected the new pipeline to the master pipe line and diverted it to a private school which was in turn affecting the water supply for thousands of Sun City residents.

Angry over the incident, the residents complained about the graft of the HUDA officials to their senior HUDA officials where they were assured of action on the prevailing problem.

"This is surely a matter of graft where the master pipeline is tampered with and is then used to divert water to other sources than the resident for which it is was set up.

"We will not keep quiet till the time this illegal connection is disconnected by HUDA," said Kuldip Rana, President, Sun City RWA.
