Submit weekly report on proposals: Hussain to officers

NEW DELHI: Delhi Food and Civil Supplies Minister Imran Hussain has directed officials of his departments to submit reports on the current status of their proposals and matters every week.
In his order, Hussain cited Rule 17 of the Transaction of Business of Government of NCT, which states that a secretary will submit to the minister a statement on proposals and matters every week.
"The administrative secretary concerned shall submit a statement indicating the current status of important proposals/matters related to his/her department, the progress made during every week, the expected timeline by which the same will be achieved and also the constraints and coordination which may be required," Hussain said in his order.
His letter comes in the backdrop of officers of the Delhi government boycotting meetings with the ministers and only maintaining written communication since the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by AAP MLAs at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence.
