Store manager foils burglary attempt in Ggn's Palam Vihar

Gurugram: Displaying immense courage and composure, a store manager in Gurugram's Palam Vihar area thwarted a burglary attempt at his shop by three gun-wielding robbers.
The incident took place on Saturday evening, when three men entered the store, posing as customers.
After making some purchases and gauging the situation, the three brandished their country-made pistols at Surender to intimidate him.
Despite knowing that his life was at risk, Surender fought with the robbers, forcing them to flee.
Gurugram Police have filed a case and begun a search to nab the accused, who are believed to be first time criminals. Police sources indicated that Surender may be rewarded for his act of bravery.
In a similar incident last year, two female bank employees prevented a major robbery in their bank in Badshahpur.
Bimla Devi and Poonam had managed to snatch the gun from one of the two robbers and prevented them from escaping, after which they were subdued by other people.
The women were rewarded by Gurugram Police for their act of courage.
