St Stephen's murder: Police to issue Red Corner notice

New Delhi: North Delhi police soon will be issuing red corner notice against the suspect who was involved in the murder of a 26-year-old Radiology intern Dr Sashwat Pandey who was found dead with his throat slit in his restroom of St Stephens Hospital.
According to police, they were raiding possible hideouts to nab the accused.
Police sources told Millennium Post that they will take every necessary step to nab the suspect and soon they will be issuing a red corner notice against the suspect who was absconding since the murder.
"We will not leave any stone unturned, our search is going. Every possible step will be taken," said an investigator.
Reported first by Millennium Post, the local police had frozen the account and ATM of the suspect as they did not want any other person to further transfer any money to the accused's account and fall short of money.
Police is raiding in different states and so far, the police have got some leads in which they are working.
According to police, the incident was reported on the morning of August 25 and they are suspecting the role of another fellow doctor and friend of the deceased who fled the spot after the incident.
The suspect entered the hospital on 12:47 am on August 25. At the room where the incident took place, the accused went inside through his punch card where he killed Pandey with a blunt object, possibly a surgical knife, and then fled the spot.
"He came to the hospital in a car which was found by police in Anand Vihar area. We are investigating where he fled as the car was found at the place from where both railway and bus stand is near," police said.
Police sources stated that the suspect who is involved in the case had long past of violence and had also harassed the deceased by posting defamatory messages in hospital's WhatsApp group.
The suspect also carried a knife with him in the hospital for which he was suspended and on July 11, he was sent on leave.
Several complaints were sent to hospital authorities regarding the violent behavior of the alleged accused.
