Sports training camp for police wards ends

NEW DELHI: 'PFWS Mission Olympics-2018', the first sports camp organised by Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), which started on January 2, concluded here on Saturday.
Under 'PFWS Mission Olympics', six expert coaches in various sports were roped in to train and coach wards of police families. The coaches were of national/international fame, having represented India in international sporting events.
The practice sessions were held at Bankner, Chhattrasal Stadium, New Police Lines and Shalimar Bagh Indoor Badminton Club. The inaugural programme was held at GOs Mess, New Police Lines, and attended by Suchana Patnaik, president, PFWS.
Dr Sushi Singh, vice-president, PFWS, and others senior members of the society were present on this occasion.
All coaches and the 157 wards were present on the last day as well.
