SP leaders illegally open elevated road

Ghaziabad: The district's Samajwadi Party senior leaders along with many party workers, on early Friday morning, illegally inaugurated the yet to be inaugurated elevated road between UP Gate to Rajnagar Extension. The MLC Rakesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party(SP) district president and former MLA Surendra Kumar Munni, Mahanagar president Rahul Chaudhary and dozens of Samajwadi Party workers reached Rajnagar Extension in the morning and they inaugurated the elevated road by cutting ribbon and breaking coconut on the road.
Citing it to be a project launched by erstwhile SP state government, the MLC of Samajwadi Party Rakesh Yadav said, "Elevated Road was the dream project of Samajwadi Party Government. The work was started during the rein of SP government and it was supposed to be completed in November, 2017. As the environmental clearance has been obtained the road should be immediately thrown open for the public".
"The elevated road is complete now and all it is waiting is to get time of chief minister, Yogi Adityanath for inauguration. The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) wants to take credit for it and the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) wants the present CM of state to come and cut the ribbon but we the Samajwadi Party workers will not tolerate it. With the inauguration of the elevated road, we have given message to public that Elevated Road is constructed by SP government of Akhilesh Yadav and there is no role of Yogi government in it." MLC Yadav added.
Following the incident the Ghaziabad police detained four SP workers identified as Manoj Pandit, Guddu Yadav, Upendra Yadav and Anshu Thakur for interrogation. However they were released in the evening.
Apart from this a written complaint was provided to Sihani Gate police by Santosh Kumar Rai, the secretary of GDA, to lodge FIR against related SP leaders.
"The police are going to lodge FIR into the matter under appropriate sections against SP leaders. We are trying to identify the accused through photos of inauguration and viral video of elevated road inauguration" said Atish Kumar, Circle Officer Ghaziabad. The move highlights how much the Samajwadi party is zealous and over confident after winning Lok Sabha seats of Gorakhpur and Phoolpur in by election this week.
