Snag hits Metro services at Yellow Line for over two hours

A technical snag hit services on Delhi Metro's Yellow Line on Monday evening, delaying services between Jahangirpuri and Vishwavidyalaya for over two hours after 7.50 pm.
Thousands of commuters suffered and had to vacate the train moving towards HUDA City Centre, which was sent off to the temporary depot at Qutub Minar Metro station.
"Train services on Yellow Line were affected between Jahangirpuri and Vishwavidyalaya section due to some overhead wiring problem on the down line (going towards Gurugram) from 7.50pm. Services on the section were facilitated through single line operations (up line-going towards Badli), leading to minor delay. Necessary repair work was undertaken and normalcy was restored shortly," said an official of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
