Sisodia to inaugurate 5,695 new classrooms for students

NEW DELHI: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will on Saturday inaugurate Delhi's biggest ever education Infrastructure Expansion project. At least 5,695 new classrooms will be opened for students in more than 100 Delhi government schools.
In the last budget, the Delhi government had proposed to complete construction of 8,000 new classrooms covering government schools.
Sisodia has already inaugurated 17 new classrooms at Sarvodya Kanya Vidalaya of Mayur Vihar phase -2 in last March.
While DSSIDC agreed to take up the up-gradation work including additional rooms and toilets, soft furnishing, modern facilities and beautification; DTTDC surveyed all the schools and worked out the estimates for the renovation of the schools.
