Shah, Delhi BJP leaders participate in 'PRAVAS' event

Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah on Friday addressed a meeting with the party's Delhi unit leaders and eminent citizens, as part of his efforts to strengthen the party's organisation across the country.
The meeting was held at NDMC Convention Centre, as part of his two day programme 'PRAVAS'. Addressing the crowd, Shah said, "I am here as a part of my national PRAVAS programme and am happy to address the people who are a part of decision makers in the society."
At the start of session, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari welcomed the gathering and said that as the Delhi President, he feels "honoured to welcome the distinguished citizens."
Tiwari also spoke highly of the organizational skills of the BJP national president Shah and how he guided the mobilisation of over one lakh 'Booth Panch Parmeshwars'.
Shah talked about the "Responsibility of Political Parties in A Democracy for the People".
"Our Constitution envisioned a multi-party democracy and a Parliamentary system. In a democratic country, it is important that political parties allow internal democracy. Only then will democracy be strengthened," the BJP national president said.
Shah further said that in the name of democracy, most political parties are today feudal and nepotistic, and only one or two parties have internal democracy.
"I am proud that I am the president of BJP, which allows internal leadership to grow and rise up to the level of the Prime Minister."
