Security lapses found in Malviya Nagar school: Police

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have found serious lapses in the school where a six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by the sweeper in Malviya Nagar.

Police claimed that they have sent a detailed three-page advisory related to safety and security to 395 schools in south Delhi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ishwar Singh stated that they have sent an advisory to the particular school also, but found lapses in safety measures in the school.
According to the advisory, in the wake of recent
incidents of killing, sexual assault, harassment that took place in school, officials and staff need to be alerted about potential hazards and the threat to the safety and security of the students.
"The principal has primary responsibility for day to day management and control of a school, including all persons on the school premises," states the advisory of Delhi Police.
