Security guard hacked to death in Noida Sector-36

NOIDA: A 40-year-old security guard was murdered by unknown assailants while was on duty at a bungalow in Noida's Sector 36 on Tuesday night.
The incident came to light on Wednesday morning when another guard came to join morning duty and spotted Girish Chand's body lying in a pool of blood at the lawn, after which he immediately informed cops.
Police said the assailants beheaded Chand, a native of Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district, with an axe.
Gautam Buddh Nagar Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh and other high ranking officials visited the spot for the inquiry.
"A police team was rushed to the spot and prima facie investigations have revealed that the murder was committed out of personal enmity. We have found grievous injury marks on the face and head of the deceased," said Singh.
The bungalow was recently purchased by the senior manager of a private company and renovation work had been going on since the past many months, said police.
"Apart from the security guard, two labourers were also present at the bungalow on the same night. Both were questioned by police and said they were unaware of the incident. As the renovation work was underway, no valuables were present in the bungalow, which draws the fact that the incident was not committed with an intention of robbery or theft. We have lodged a complaint in the matter and investigations are underway. The body has been sent for post-mortem and reports are awaited," added Singh.
