Security guard found dead inside school in Shahdara

NEW DELHI: A 45-year-old security guard of a private school was found murdered inside the school premises in Seemapuri area of Shahdara district on Sunday morning.
Police suspect that the deceased man, identified as Devilal, was murdered on Saturday night, but his body was discovered only the next morning.
Police are still clueless about who murdered the guard and why, and have formed teams to identify and arrest the accused person(s).
Sources suspect that the murderer was acquainted with the deceased, as some bottles of wine were found near his body.
The accused seemingly some liquor with Devilal and later murdered him for unknown reasons.
Devilal use to stay in a room inside the school, from where his body was recovered.
"The man had injuries on his head and had some marks on his hands. It seems that he was murdered by a known person." said Raja Hashmi, a local resident, who was amongst the first people to reach the school and see the body.
Sources said that Devilal used to work in a transport company in the day and as a night guard in the school in the later hours.
Cops have now formed several teams to investigate the case and determine the circumstances that led to Devilal's murder.
It is still unclear whether his murder was the result of some sudden altercation or it was a premeditated act. They are also examining his mobile phone records to get clues about who was with him on Saturday.
Sources said he was hit with a sharp weapon on the head.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and his family is being questioned by police to get any clues.
Devilal had started working as a night guard in the school around two years ago.
