SDMC's Horticulture Dept starts using mechanical appliance in large numbers

New Delhi: SDMC's Horticulture Department has started using mechanical appliances in large number at its parks, nurseries and green waste management centers with an aim to turn SDMC localities green waste free, contain pollution and put a full staff on continuing burning of leaves. The Standing Committee Chairperson Shikha Rai on Thursday inaugurated the usage of new shredder-chipper machines, leaf picker machines and other mechanized equipment at a nursery situated in GK Part 1.

She added that the new shredder chipper machines, leaf picker machines, hedge trimmer machines, brush cutter machines and pole pruner machines will make the work of maintenance including pruning and beautification in parks quick and smooth. The newly procured machines have been distributed to all the four zones for further deployment in parks/nurseries. The Director Horticulture, Alok Singh was also present on this occasion.

The functioning of the machines like shredder chipper machine, leaf picker machine, brush cutter machine, pole pruner machine and lawn mower machine were displayed in the nursery.
