SDMC promotes issuing construction permits through online system

New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), being the nodal agency in respect of ease of doing business, on Wednesday evening organised an interactive workshop on reforms under ease of doing business: construction permits through online system by the MCDs in the city.

Around 60 architects, senior officers of the NOC facilitating government agencies/departments, the DUAC, Delhi Fire Service, Metro Rail Corporation, Airports Authority of India, National Monuments Authority, Delhi Pollution Control Committee, Forest and Industry Department under Delhi Government, DJB, DIISDC and DISCOMS attended the session wherein the Secretary, Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, DS Mishra, Joint Secretary, MOHUA, Shiv Das Meena, the three Commissioners-Dr Puneet Kumar Goel (SDMC), Dr Ranbir Singh(EDMC) and Madhup Vyas (NDMC) and Chief Engineers, and SEs Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers of the building departments of the total 12 zones of the three corporations were present to answer the queries of the architects and engineers registered with the MCDs.

DS Mishra, while addressing the workshop, exhorted architects present to be partner in improving the system so that the ranking of the country in Ease of Doing Business could be improved.
