SDMC organises week-long 'swachhta exhibition' in Saket

Noida: In order to boost swachhta activities, the SDMC has organised a week long swachhta exhibition at Select City Mall in Saket. The exhibition has been mounted to highlight the contribution of sculptures and painters during ongoing Swachhta Abhiyan.

While inaugurating the exhibition Mayor Narendra Chawla said that the works of well- known artists are not only disseminating message of swachhta but also exhorting visitors to devote more time on cleanliness.

During 2018 swachh sarvekshan the SDMC earned ranking of 32 by making improvement of 170 ranks. We are committed to earn respectable place among first ten ranks in ongoing 2019 swachh sarvekshan.

He expressed confidence that this exhibition depicting works of well known sculptures and painters will inspire people to make swachhta as an inseparable part of their habit. The works of more than two dozen artist has become centre of attraction.

At inaugural function a separate painting competition of school children on swachhta has also been organized at mall. One hundred participating children by using their prudence and imagination drew different sort of paintings in various forms and colors. The competition immensely impressed the persons present there.

The Mayor added that the children have proved that they are true brand ambassador of swachhta. The paintings by children disseminated the benefits of swachhta, prevention from diseases and relevance of swachhta.
