SDMC organises sanitation drive to ensure cleanliness around schools

New Delhi: SDMC while taking its theme waste special sanitation drives ahead on Monday organized sanitation drive around educational institutions including MCD schools. It was aimed at making nearby area clean and develop clean atmosphere.

The sanitation employees under 4 zone of SDMC remained present to oversee the drive, wherein large number of sanitation workers lifted garbage in huge quantity. The areas around school main entrance and nearby roads were focused during the drive.

In all 178 schools witnessed sanitation activities during the drive. A few schools are GSS School, Dwarka 6, MCD school R.K. Puram Sector 8, Kalka Public School CR Park, FIMT College Kapahsera, Glory Public School Sarita Vihar, Shemrock Public School Sarita Vihar, MCD school Kalka Ji, G S S School Harkesh Nagar, MCD School Vinoba Nagar and MCD school village Nawada.

The local residents and students also took part in the drive on Monday, the residents offered Swachhta Shramdan for two hours.

The DEMS Officers underlined the need and importance of cleanliness and this was also emphatically made understood to the students.
