SDMC organises sanitation drive, 542 challans issued

New Delhi: SDMC on Thursday organised sanitation drive at petrol pumps, public places and markets during two days. During this sort of comprehensive drive, strict action was taken against littering at 121 petrol pumps and 148 public places and markets. Apart from this, all Assistant Commissioners, Executive Engineers and Sanitation Inspectors have been told in plain words that there should be no lapse in cleanliness.

All assistant commissioners ( ACs) have been asked to ensure that all public toilets are open, clean and functional. Apart from this, they have also been told to immediately resolve all pending complaints received on Swachhta App. The SIs have been instructed to get twin colored bins thoroughly cleaned.

Under Central Zone 36 petrol pumps have been inspected and 27 chalans have been issued, South Zone 35 petrol pumps have been inspected and 115 chalans have been issued, West Zone 17 petrol pumps have been inspected and 69 chalans have been issued and Najafgarh Zone 24 petrol pumps have been inspected and 26 chalans have been issued.

In all 112 petrol pumps have been inspected and 237 chalans have been slapped.

Under Central Zone at 53 locations and markets 113 chalans have been issued, South Zone in 43 locations and markets 84 chalans have been issued, West Zone in 26 locations and markets 87 chalans have been issued and Najafgarh Zone in 18 locations and markets 21 chalans have been issued.

In all at 148 locations and markets 305 chalans have been slapped.
