SDMC Mayor conducts surprise inspection
New Delhi: Mayor of SDMC Sunita Kangra on Tuesday conducted a surprise inspection of the two wards to know the ground reality of the facilities being provided by the corporation in different colonies of Said-ul-ajaib and Madangiri ward.
In Said-ul-ajaib on seeing the scattered garbage and dirt in the dhalao-ghar, Mayor instructed to clean them at the earliest. She said that challans would be slapped, if debris is found outside the houses and near the roadside. She stated that sanitation employees responsible for slackness will not be spared and due action will be taken against them. Mayor also visited Rajpurkhurd village, where she talked to the local people and tried to know their problems. The Mayor also inspected the drains of both the wards and asked to expedite the de-silting process, otherwise the silt will spread over the roads in the rainy season. She also
directed to repair the drains of Ambedkar Nagar and Rajpur Khurd.
In Madangiri ward, Mayor emphasised on the problem of dhalao-ghar and cleaning of drains. She also visited the Maternity and Child center and said that if there is any shortage of doctors, employees and medicines to be communicated to the Mayor so that adequate arrangements could be made.
