SDMC instructs sanitation inspectors to ensure cleanliness near dhalaos

New Delhi: SDMC instructed sanitation inspectors to ensure cleanliness in and around dhalaos and FCTs.

All four zones under SDMC while dedicating to cleanliness strived hard to conduct special sanitation drives around various metro stations, fruit and vegetable markets and vendors, and areas around educational institutions.

The fish markets have also been focussed.

Further, the sanitation inspectors have been told in plain words to ensure cleanliness in and around dhalaos and FCTSs.

They have been asked to keep all primary waste collection centres in working condition as accumulation of waste in such centres can present a filthy picture.

The senior officers have also been instructed to personally visit these places to check the status of garbage collection and transportation and to ensure that all prescribed procedures in collection of the waste say segregation at source be followed.

It was strived to overcome accumulation of garbage in the fruit and vegetable markets and the waste was removed by the sanitation staff.

Further, the vendors sitting on the footpath and on rehries have been asked to keep their places clean otherwise, they will be issued chit challans and they will have to present themselves in the court of magistrate and pay the fine in cash there itself.

The waste was on Sunday got lifted near Qutub Minar Metro Station, St Giri School Sarita Vihar, Sewa Nagar and Panjabi Bagh and other

places.

The traders were also asked to render their constructive contribution in stopping use of plastic bags.
