SDMC extends last date for property tax

New Delhi: SDMC Mayor Sunita Kangra on Friday said that for the convenience of property tax payers, it has been decided to extend last date of payment of 2019-20 property tax from June 30 to July 31, hence all offices of property tax which were earlier instructed to remain open on June 30 will now remain closed because of extension of last date. She added that the decision has been taken keeping in view the reported glitches in the website of the SDMC. She made it clear that no hike has been made in the rates of property tax applicable to non commercial properties. She further exhorted the tax payers to make payment of their due property tax before the new last date i.e. July 31 in order to avail rebate. The Mayor said that SDMC will develop another magnificent park called Bharat Darshan Park to display the concept of unity in diversity through replicas of the Icons of different states to be built with the metal scrap lying in the SDMC's stores. She added that the park will be developed over an area of around 12 acres, the final choice of place is being decided.
