Schoolboy threatening teacher with rape: CWC takes cognisance

Gurugram: The district authoirities are seriously pursuing the shocking incident of a class VII student of a Gurugram school threatening his teacher with rape.
Taking cognisance of lapses in the case, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) served a notice to Gurugram Police for not providing it with vital information regarding the case.
The notice comes after the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram also took note of the case and asked the Education department to investigate the matter and subsequently provide a report to him.
On Friday, a team of CWC visited the school to carry out its investigation.
These developments come at a time when the teacher who was threatened by her student put in her resignation papers.
Meanwhile, the school has suspended the student for misconduct.
After the shocking incident of the student threatening his teacher and her daughter of rape made rounds of social media, a complaint was filed with Gurugram police.
There was, however, no FIR filed, as the case was transferred to the Cyber Crime branceh for investigation into the technical aspects of the case.
The school's embarrassment, however, did not end with that, as a class VIII student of the same school sent a written post to his teacher, requesting her to have a candlelight dinner with him and subsequently insisting on having sex with her.
This matter is also being probed by the CWC.
This is not for the first time when such disturbing incidents involving minors have been reported from Gurugram.
Recently, a 16-year-old boy was chargesheeted by the Central Bureau of Investigation for the murder of a seven-year-old boy in the washroom of a renowned private school.
