Satyendar Jain launches four night shelters, sub-station

Delhi Urban development and Power Minister Satyendar Jain on Saturday inaugurated three night shelters and laid down foundation stone for four night shelters at various places in Delhi. Jain inaugurated three night shelters for Ghazipur, Pushta near ISBT, Kashmere Gate and Sector-22 ,Rohini. He also laid down foundation stones for four other night shelters at Geeta Colony and Sector-3 ,Dwarka.

Jain, in another event, also laid the foundation stone for construction of a new 220 KV sub-station at RK Puram.

The sub-station at Sector-4, RK Puram in South Delhi will be constructed with an investment of Rs 110 crore. Spread over an area of 4,800 square metre, the sub-station will have transformation capacity of 520 MVA.

Jain said that this sub-station will be linked with the 220 KV sub-stations of Vasant Kunj, Ridge Valley, AIIMS and the upcoming 400 KV sub-station at Tughlaqabad. Jain also dedicated various projects worth Rs 415 crore to the public which have been completed during the current financial year. These projects are the Preet Vihar sub-station, Harsh Vihar sub-station and Vasant Vihar sub-station at capacity of 220 KV each. "These projects are very crucial in terms of strengthening the power transmission system and will help the distribution companies to draw sufficient and reliable power from the state grid," said Jain.
