Sanitation work is continuous, there is no limit to it: Shikha Rai

New Delhi: SDMC Standing Committee Chairperson Shikha Rai on Monday instructed the officers and employees of DEMS to strive hard to make sanitation activities more pointed & result oriented and ensure better up keep in toilets.

While chairing meeting of DEMS Department, Rai said that sanitation work is continuous and there is no limit to it.

To make all SDMC localities garbage free clean, it is essential to sincerely continue sanitation work. The meeting was attended by the Additional Commissioner Umesh Tyagi, all Zonal Deputy Commissioners, E-in-c, Engineers and officers of DEMS Department & all sanitary inspectors.

She that during last Swachh Sarvekshan, SDMC was able to bring improvement of 170 ranking to earn its ranking of 32 instead of 202 obtained last year. The SDMC has been trying to earn a better ranking i.e. place in the first 10 ranking.

Shikha Rai further appreciated efforts of DEMS and asked its employees and officers to work with sincerity and hard work.
