Gurugram: Amid fear and uncertainty, Ryan International School at Bhondsi will be reopening on Monday under the management of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gurugram.
Even though the educational institute is opening after a duration of 10 days, most of the parents have expressed their apprehension of sending their children back to school.
The institute came under the scanner after the Class II student was found dead in the school's washroom on September 8.
There are 1,200 students who are studying in the school.
The school will be functioning at a time when the real killers of 7-year-old Pradyuman Thakur have still not been ascertained and with every new revelation, the case is getting complicated.
Taking note of the loss of trust of parents against the private school, DC Vinay Pratap Singh on Saturday called upon the management of the private school and directed them to strengthen the security systems. He also warned that failure in doing so will result in the district administration taking strict action against the errant school.
After the tragic incident, most of the management of private schools have committed of installing more CCTV cameras, having a medical room and possessing female attendants for school students.
Certain schools are also making their teacher fill in the code of conduct forms.
A major point emphasises in these forms is that the school staff will not indulge in any form of sexual activity with the school children.
With the scepticism over the investigation on the case rising by the day, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday ordered CBI to investigate into the case after meeting the parents of the deceased student.
Taking cognisance of the number of irregularities that were appearing in the case, the parents also demanded the probe from the premier investigating agency. The request was made even as Gurugram police had specified on September 9 that they will be filing the charge sheet within a week.
Even though the District police will not be filing the charge sheet now, it will still be involved in the nitty gritty of the case till the CBI formally takes over in a week's time.
