Ryan school gardener detained by cops

Gurugram: In the Pradyuman Thakur murder case who was found killed in the bathroom of Ryan International School in Bhondsi, the Gurugram police has detained the gardener Harpal for questioning as he was one of the first witnesses who saw the seven-year-old student when his throat was slit. The law enforcement officials also questioned various employees school to collect evidences in the case.
Having set a deadline for a week to complete its investigation last Saturday, the district police are leaving no stone unturned to make their case stronger.
Speaking to media persons on Thursday, Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said that they will be filing the charge sheet in the case very soon.
He also asserted that they had concrete evidences to implicate the main accused bus conductor Ashok of his crime.
While the state owned police is pursuing relentless investigation in the case, many residents including the parents of Pradhyuman have requested for the probe to be conducted by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Key eyewitnesses in the case like the bus driver and gardener have not directly blamed Ashok of committing the heinous crime and have claimed that it was the 42-year-old accused who had carried Pradyuman to the ambulance.
While major differences are being expressed over who in reality murdered Pradyuman, there are no such arguments over the criminal negligence of the school leading to the major tragedy.
The report by the Special Investigative Team submitted to Deputy Commissioner has already incriminated Ryan International School and its officials of various glaring lapses.
The major points include common toilet for staff and children, CCTV's not set up in right places, no verification of employees and incomplete boundary wall.
