Ryan case: Verdict on Ashok's bail plea today

Gurugram: The district court in Gurugram on Monday completed its hearing on the bail plea of Ashok Kumar who was arrested by the Gurugram police on charges of murdering 7-year –old Pradyuman. The verdict in the case has been reserved and will be pronounced on Tuesday at 3 pm.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation again reiterated their stand that they have not provided clean chit to Ashok. They however clarified that as of now they have not been able to find any conclusive evidence against him.
Defending his client, advocate Mohit Verma said that in the blood samples that was presented in the court, Ashok's blood did not match that of Pradyuman. Ashok's family was also present in the court complex. They anticipated that their son would be released after being more than two months in jail. "I want to again reiterate that my son is innocent. He was tortured and beaten mercilessly to extract his confession. I will request that the court must free him soon as he has to take care of the family," said Ami Chand, Ashok's father.
In the thick of times when most had already pronounced 42-year-old Ashok as an accused, the villagers of Ghmroj, Sohna supported the bus conductor's family and did not socially ostracise them. Their faith and patience finally paid the sudden turnaround in the case.
