Robbers loot Cong workers in Gurugram

In an ironic situation, leaders and workers of Congress party who had come to Gurugram on Tuesday to hold a protest march on rising crimes in its districts became the victims of it themselves.
Political leaders like Anand Kaushik and several other Congress workers have filed their complaints at city police stations.
In their complaints, the workers mentioned that their valuables like smartphones, purse and even shoes have been robbed during the protest march.
After incidents of multiple robberies, workers of Congress had again raised the issue of poor law and order in the city.
"Today the robbers can openly commit acts of crime in broad day light. Not only are the citizens being targeted but even the political leaders and the police personnel are being targeted. This shows of the poor law and order situation of the district," said Baljeet Kaushik, Congress Gurugram district head.
"We have received certain complaints of robbery from the political event. We have registered their complaints and started investigations to catch hold of the culprits," said a senior official from Gurugram Police.
Top Congress leaders from Haryana, including Kiran Chadhury, Ashok Tanwar, Captain Ajay Yadav and Anand Kaushik held a protest march to the commissioner office on Tuesday, demanding better law and order situation in the district.
